The “Measuring the healthiness of Ghanaian children’s food environments to prevent obesity and non-communicable diseases” also referred to as “MEALS4NCDs Project” is set to be Launched on August 15 2019 in Accra Ghana. The project focuses on restricting unhealthy food marketing to children and improving school nutrition environment. Preceding the official launch is a capacity building workshop to facilitate the Project Team’s to adoption and adaptation of the INFORMAS protocols and processes. The workshop will be facilitated by project team members Dr. Stefanie Vandevijvere of the Scientific Institute of Public Health (Sciensano), Belgium, Professor Michelle Holdsworth of the National Research Institute for Sustainable Development (IRD), France, and the MEALS4NCDs Project Advisory Chair – Professor Mary L’Abbe, Department of Nutritional Sciences, Faculty of Medicine, University of Toronto, Canada.
