Akua holds a BSc. in Nutrition and Food Science and an MSc. in Human Nutrition (Public Health Option). Previously, she has supported research investigating dietary transitions and how the social and physical and environments affect food choice decisions in the context of urban Ghanaian cities. Her scholarly interests range widely from understanding the determinants of diet-related non-communicable diseases to how public and private sector policies and practices influence the food environment.
